Project: [REDACTED] is a 2D platformer in which you play as a small robot on a journey to uncover their missing past. Traverse three unique lands and collect mysterious books along the way as you attempt to find out who you are and what your purpose really is.

I started this project in January 2021 to challenge myself with creating a full game completely independently. I went into this project not having had any experience in game development so all aspects of its creation were new to me and had to be learnt from scratch. Using Unity as the game engine, I learnt the basics of C# to code features such as movement and health and progressed to more advanced concepts such as saving and loading data between both scenes and play sessions. Thanks to my previous experience in art, I was able to confidently use Clip Studio Paint to learn pixel art and animation to create sprites and obstacles for the game.

The music and sound effects for this project were initially created for my Level 5 Advanced Music Production course at college but were later adapted to be used for this game. The sound effects were recorded and created by myself using a mixture of live foley and digital sound features and effects.
